The COLOURLOCK primer is an adhesion promoter between the leather substrate and the leather colour. It penetrates deep into the leather, ensures very good adhesion of the paints, is itself very soft to the touch and significantly reduces paint consumption in order to significantly improve the feel (handle) of the leather.

This is a commercial product that was developed for professional use in leather restoration companies, workshops or for mobile service technicians. The primer is an adhesion promoter between the leather substrate and the leather colour. It penetrates deep into the leather, ensures very good adhesion of the paints, is itself very soft to the touch and significantly reduces paint consumption, which significantly improves the feel (handle) of the leather.

APPLICATION

Before priming, the leather must always be pre-cleaned according to the instructions.
Depending on the type of leather, the application of the primer must be dosed accordingly. The more porous a leather is, the more primer has to be applied so that leather paint that is subsequently applied does not sink into the leather. Heavily pigmented leathers only require a thin misted coat of primer. The "Plus" primer is recommended for highly porous leather.
The primer can be sprayed on or applied with a sponge. The spray application is always the first choice.
If a pigmented leather is slightly sticky after cleaning with GLD solution or solvent cleaner, the primer can be omitted.
The primer is also used to pre-treat repairs with the filler or neutral color. This improves the adhesion of the repair. In the case of cracks and breaks, the primer can also be applied with a brush or sponge.
The primer is also the ideal thinner for the leather paint (max. 30%) if e.g. For example, aniline leather and soft clothing leather only needs to be re-dyed slightly (not fully opaque).
We recommend the "PLUS" primer for highly porous leather. The "PLUS" primer is more concentrated and only suitable for completely open-pored leather.

Reiniger mild/stark:
Den Reinigungsschaum auf einen Schwamm geben. Nicht direkt auf das Leder auftragen. Mit dem Schaum das Leder von Naht zu Naht säubern. Vorgang evtl. mehrfach wiederholen. Mit einem feuchten Tuch Schmutz und Reinigerreste entfernen, anschließend trocknen lassen.

Leder Protector:
Der Leder Protector wird aufgetragen, wenn das Leder nach der Reinigung getrocknet ist. I.d.R. nach 2 bis 3 Stunden. Mit einem weichen Tuch dünn auftragen und ohne nachpolieren trocknen lassen. Ein Auftrag ist i.d.R. ausreichend. Nur bei extrem trockenen Ledern die stark saugfähig sind den Vorgang wiederholen. Bei strapazierten Flächen (starker Gebrauch oder an Heizung oder im Sonnenbereich) alle 3 Monate nachpflegen. Bei Verschmutzungen vorsäubern!

Menge:
Die Menge ist i.d.R. ausreichend, um ein komplettes Interieur oder eine ganze Möbelgarnitur mehrfach zu behandeln. Der Reiniger wird nur bei verschmutzten Bereichen verwendet, und Pflege wird auf allen Flächen aufgetragen. Bei extremen Verschmutzungen wird evtl. eine größere Menge Reiniger benötigt. Dies ist aber nur in wenigen Fällen notwendig.
